Arcova's steel and aluminium products and those of its predecessors have been in use for over forty years. Throughout that time the specification for load performance classes has been led by cast/ductile iron access covers currently EN124. Standards for fabricated steel and aluminium access covers have evolved using the applicable standards as a guide in relation to load classes and their class application. Arcova's standard has developed over many years combining good working practices drawn from many specifications included British Gas, CEGB, BS497, FACTA and EN 124. The above table gives a comparison of the relevant standards to enable specifiers and contractors to make an informed decision as to the use and application of products relative to the intended traffic environment.
